Maintain Confidence and Operational Readiness
The ABPS Bike Patrol Refresher Course is designed for law enforcement officers who have previously completed the ABPS Bike Patrol Course and need to refresh essential skills for safe and effective bicycle patrol operations.
Through practical exercises and scenario-based training, officers reinforce bike handling, tactical riding, emergency response, officer safety, and patrol deployment techniques.
Upon completion, participants will have demonstrated the fundamental bicycle patrol skills needed for assignments in schools, parks, downtown areas, special events, and community policing environments.

Bicycle Safety and Equipment Readiness
Review bicycle safety inspections, equipment condition, and patrol-readiness procedures before deployment.

Reinforce balance, precision maneuvering, tight turns, and controlled bicycle handling in confined areas.

Course Prerequisite
Participants must have successfully completed the ABPS Bike Patrol Training Course before enrolling in the Bike Patrol Refresher Course.
This course is designed to refresh and reinforce previously learned bicycle patrol skills. It is not intended to replace the initial Bike Patrol Training Course or provide entry-level bike patrol instruction.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for law enforcement officers who have successfully completed the ABPS Bike Patrol Training Course and need to refresh or demonstrate continued proficiency in essential bicycle patrol skills.
The course is appropriate for officers who:
- Are currently assigned to bicycle patrol duties
- Are returning to bicycle patrol after an extended absence
- Need periodic skills reinforcement or proficiency training
- Require refresher training before a special event or patrol assignment

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the ABPS Bike Patrol Training Course is required.
